This is my first blog, a work in progress, very slow progress. I've enjoyed Nathan's blog beijingag.blogspot.com and Star's blog at starsoverbangkok.blogspot.com, and several other great blogs. Mine will never approach their accomplishment in story-telling, photos or wit. But here it is. Well, eventually.

I should mention first that I love the Lord, and that I've been blessed with a wonderful wife, Terri, and the best kids in the world, Nathan and Emily. I am so proud of them!

My favorite activity is playing tennis, but I hurt my wrist and haven't been able to play since September. So I'm getting what looks like a small beer belly. It isn't from drinking beer! It is from not playing tennis three times a week. And maybe from getting old.

I also love missions, and have been on church mission trips to Honduras lots of times. More on this later.

I like movies with happy endings. I hate spending 2 hours watching a potentially good movie that has a bad or unhappy ending. Why spend all that time to get depressed?

I work a little too much, but I really like my job and the people I get to work with. I work for a great company, Wells Fargo. There might be two good healthy large banks right now in the USA, and I think Wells Fargo is one of them.

I like to ride my bike with my dog. I really like Blue Heelers. Our first one, Bullet, lived about 15 years and was the best dog in the world. Our second one isn't that great, but is a good bike companion because she runs fast for a long time and loves it. She also likes to chase ducks and squirrels. Which can sometimes be dangerous when you are zooming along with her connected to the bike, and suddenly she leaps at a squirrel or duck scampering/flapping out of our way. Bullet crashed me once, hurting us both, but we got over it after a few weeks. We have a better bike-dog attachment device now, a "Springer", so such wrecks aren't very likley anymore. Get one if you have a fast dog and like to bike, and don't mind just a little danger. The dog LOVES it.

I like to mess with computers. I've built several, but not recently, because my family transitioned to laptops, which can't be built by a do-it-yourselfer. It is almost time to replace this one, so maybe this summer...

It is getting late. I wish days had 26 hours, so I could play an extra hour and sleep an extra hour.

That's all for now.
